For the last past twelve years Jose De Leon has served as a Sr. Workforce Consultant and a Regional Services Specialist for the Idaho Department of Labor, primarily assigned to the Business Services Unit, he serves employers in the Manufacturing Sector for Region 3 In SW Idaho.
Currently he serves as an ambassador member of the Nampa Chamber of Commerce on the Education and Business Committees as well as co-Chairing an iNetworking chamber group, In addition Jose serves on the Western Alliance for Economic Development Board and the Southwest Idaho Manufacturers Alliance Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee for Mission Based Services for WITCO (Western Idaho Training Co.) Jose partners regularly with Department of Commerce and economic development agencies for Business Attraction.
Jose works closely with Idaho Manufacturers and education partners, both secondary and post-secondary, on workforce and pipeline development for future workforce needs. He serves as an organizer for the annual Business Educator Exchange partnering with Northwest Nazarene University and as a committee member organizer for the annual Hispanic Healthcare and Technology Conference partnering with the Future Hispanic Leaders of America and the Community Council of Idaho. Jose is a graduate from Leadership Nampa class of 2011.
Jose is a native Idahoan and grew up in Canyon County. A product of the Idaho public school system he uses his time, abilities and efforts to develop the local workforce and reinforce opportunities for the future workforce in Idaho.
